May Meal Plan: Recipes + Shopping List

May Meal Plan

Welcome to the May Meal Plan! In case you are new to Call Me Crunchy, I will catch you up real quick. We are a family of seven but four of those are fur babies. I enjoy good food, live music, craft beer and spending time with the people I love. In order to spend less time cooking, I plan my meals ahead of time. As a result, I have more time to do the things that bring me joy!

I used to become flustered with getting a homemade meal on the table each night. Then, I found Wildtree and things got a lot easier! At first, I started planning dinner a week ahead of time. We were eating at home but I dreaded having to plan each Sunday. Eventually, I realized that a monthly meal plan could be my best friend. It was tough when I first starting creating them but, through practice, I have come to love making monthly meal plans. It saves me time, money and sanity which makes this mommy very happy.

Foster Love Fundraiser: Buy Groceries, Change Lives

Foster Love Fundraiser

As an Independent Representative for Wildtree, I am able to give back to my community in many ways. In addition to helping others simplify dinnertime, I give a portion of my Wildtree earnings to local nonprofits here in Tallahassee. It’s such a great feeling knowing that my job is making a positive impact in so many lives just by sharing the mission of Wildtree.

Recently, we took the first steps towards becoming foster parents. We are excited to provide a safe, loving home for children in need so I wanted to do more than just donate this month. Therefore, the Foster Love Fundraiser was born! Together, we can change lives!

Marley’s Monsters Unpaper Towels Review

Marley's Monsters Unpaper Towel Review

My family is in the process of phasing out all disposable products from our house. One of the last things we had left was paper towels. We usually keep a kitchen towel hanging from our cabinet by the sink, but we still went through a roll or two a week. Not only is that a lot of waste but it was costly! I was looking for an alternative and came across Marley’s Monsters. These special unpaper towels are mama-made in Eugene, Oregon and are the most beautiful towels you will ever see and are super soft! Win win win!

AWARE

AWARE: having or showing realization, perception or knowledge

The past week has made me think and reflect; to become AWARE. I was sitting in my MOPS meeting listening to a presentation about self defense. I had no idea what this talk would trigger. There were certain points mentioned that struck me, not in a bad way, but opened my mind to think outside of the box. What are we not aware of?

This particular discussion made me realize there are many aspects of life that we may not think about on a daily basis. We get so busy in the daily grind and overlook important things. I feel aware but I know I need to be more diligent about observing, thinking, reflecting and learning.

Behind the Bottle: Wildtree’s 20 Year Anniversary

Behind the Bottle - Wildtree's 20 Year Anniversary Celebration

I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Rhode Island to visit the Wildtree Home Office and take a “Behind the Bottle” tour. There were about 150 of us who earned this trip for FREE! Wildtree flew us into Providence, paid for our hotel for the weekend, and provided meals and hospitality during our entire stay in the beautiful Ocean State.

This was the first “Girl’s Weekend” I have ever taken in my whole life so I was SUPER excited! There are men in the company but, so far, my team is all women. I learned many interesting facts that I am elated to share with you!

January Meal Plan

Happy New Year! Welcome to the January Meal Plan! In order to stay organized in January, I have scheduled our meals for the next month. I am excited to share this with you because I know how hard it can be to plan ahead. As a mom that works from home, I understand all the responsibilities and tasks parents take on, regardless of whether we have sufficient time or energy or not. Making healthy meals for your family does not have to be difficult. Let me help!

I have come up with this list of meals. Most are from Wildtree’s awesome meal plans and the others are from an amazing fellow mom blogger. Keep in mind that this is my first time planning meals a month in advance so it may take me a bit to get in the groove. I am posting this meal plan now in case you would like to try the recipes with me in January. Otherwise, you can wait for my final verdict later on and implement this plan in February.

Local Love: Tallahassee Inspired Gift Ideas

Local Love: Tallahassee Inspired Gift Ideas

We are less than a week away from Christmas, yet, I do not have all my Christmas shopping done. Why do I do this to myself?! I think the reason holidays are stressful is because we set such high standards for ourselves in gift-giving. My goal is to avoid the big box stores and keep it simple! To me, the perfect gifts are ones that are practical and useful. Skip the outlandishly priced trending items and go for the product that will be used frequently.
