I had the amazing opportunity to travel to Rhode Island to visit the Wildtree Home Office and take a “Behind the Bottle” tour. There were about 150 of us who earned this trip for FREE! Wildtree flew us into Providence, paid for our hotel for the weekend, and provided meals and hospitality during our entire stay in the beautiful Ocean State.
This was the first “Girl’s Weekend” I have ever taken in my whole life so I was SUPER excited! There are men in the company but, so far, my team is all women. I learned many interesting facts that I am elated to share with you!
As I arrived on Friday afternoon, they had a table set up welcoming all of us and gave us some goody bags full of healthy snacks. Friday evening, we had a cocktail hour with a pasta bar, hor d’ouevres, and an open bar. It was a fun celebration for all! I have been a part of the Wildtree family for almost two years but had never met anyone in person. This was a game-changer for me to be able to make these connections and friendships!
On Saturday, I was able to sleep in! This mama was very happy to get a full night of uninterrupted sleep. We were shuttled to Wildtree Home Office for brunch which consisted of a buffet full of delicious food seasoned with Wildtree products, of course. Our Home Office team spent their morning cooking food and serving us. These people, the head honchos of our company, took their time to feed and care for us during our visit. I get very emotional thinking of all the amazing things they did for us that weekend.
After breakfast, we were split up into groups to tour the facility and have an intimate chat with our founder, Leslie Montie, regarding her trip to Sri Lanka. She travels the world to meet our small, organic farmers and to literally see the roots of where the Wildtree blends begin.
During our chat, we also learned that Leslie started her business by doing 20 parties a month for eight years. Talk about determination! She carried a huge wooden case full of spices up and down the grueling stairs of Rhode Island houses for years before gaining the momentum to add others to her payroll.
We ended the day with an evening of food, fellowship and fun. They brought in a local caterer who served us lobster and steak while we listened to awesome music played by Leslie’s husband. There was not one moment during the Wildtree 20 Anniversary Homecoming Weekend that you did not feel at home. Every single employee of Wildtree is family. They are all kind, loving, compassionate people who truly care about changing lives and making this world a better place. Now, enough about the fun I had…
I think one of the most profound things I experienced during this 20 Year Anniversary Homecoming Weekend was the friendship and camaraderie. These amazing women who I connected with on a whole new level are from all types of backgrounds. There are young professionals and seasoned experts. There are doctors, lawyers, photographers, teachers and stay-at-home moms. We come from different places in life but we are all connected by the same goal; to make a difference one meal at a time through Wildtree.
This weekend was a celebration of 20 years of business. In those 20 years, Wildtree has risen from a “one woman show” to a 30 million dollar company and this is just the beginning!
Every business decision Wildtree makes is with the general public’s best interest. The organic farmers Wildtree partners with around the world are given assistance to buy their land. This means, instead of renting land, they can run their own business and profit from their hard work. They are also provided with the opportunity to send their kids to school and learn English.
The 150+ employees employed at the Wildtree facility in Rhode Island are paid living wages and get to progress into higher positions as the company continues to grow. In fact, many workers started with the company years ago hand labeling spice jars and are now skilled machine operators.
As an Independent Representative, the sky is the limit! We start out with a flat discount, however, the commission rate increases as sales and team numbers increase. The more you share Wildtree, the more you earn…including free trips like this one! Once you reach the Director level, you earn stock in the company!
So, next time you are in need of taco seasoning, salad dressing, etc…think of Wildtree! Think of the farmers around the world who are able to provide for their families because of Wildtree. Think of the 150+ people in Rhode Island who are paid living wages to create and package all of these awesome products. Think of all the women and men who are able to give back to their local economy because of their Wildtree business. Most importantly, think of your family. Time flies by! We must cherish every moment with our loved ones and bring dinnertime back to the table with Wildtree.
When you purchase Wildtree groceries, you are making a difference in our world one meal at time. You are creating a global demand for organic farming, supporting small farmers around the world, employing hundreds of people at the Rhode Island facility, supporting your local representative, and providing healthy meals for your own family. It is a win for everyone!
Get behind the bottle and invest in yourself and your future. Check out the business opportunity with Wildtree! If you would like more information about Wildtree, contact me or check out my Wildtree website.
