Perfectly Pumpkin: Simple & Healthy Pumpkin Recipes
Happy November! With the pumpkin craze still going strong, I thought the best way to get back into writing would be to share tasty pumpkin recipes with you. The funny thing about my obsession with pumpkins is that I do not really like the flavor of pumpkin, except for classic pumpkin pie. It is the general obsession with pumpkin that intrigues me. It brings joy and excitement to others and I love being a part of that. So, pumpkin lovers, this post is just for you! It includes several simple & healthy pumpkin recipes that you are sure to love.
Crunchy Collection #3
Welcome to Crunchy Collection #3! Wow, where did Summer go? Although we did not plan many activities, the past few months have been quite busy. Fortunately, even though Fall will be even busier, I am looking forward to returning to a structured schedule. Woohoo!
Happy Independence Day and welcome to the Made in the USA giveaway hop! To celebrate, The Anti-June Cleaver and Our Piece of Earth have teamed up with an amazing group of bloggers to bring you some great prizes that have been made in the USA…or Canada because we don’t leave our Canadian friends out of the fun.
What do you need to have before baby arrives? Sing with me, “Look for the bare necessities. The simple bare necessities.” Preparing for baby is an exciting and joyous time. Do not let all the commercialization bog you down. Be a minimalist and save your money by only purchasing essentials that can be re-used with several children. Having new, trendy baby items can be fun, however, your baby will not notice if you stick to the basics.
Welcome to Crunchy Collection #2!
It’s June! Can you believe it? We’re halfway through the year already! Summer is such an odd season to me, especially here in Florida. We wish for warm weather (at least 75° or above for us Southern snobs) and then when it comes, we are so stinking hot that we can’t wait for Fall. The grass is always greener on the other side, right?
Anyways, I’ve had trouble figuring out what to do because the majority of our weekly activities do not continue into the summer. So, I have decided I am going to start a Summer Solution; like a New Year’s resolution but for the Summer months. This Crunchy Collection is filled with things that I can work on over the next couple of months. I hope you will set some goals and share them with me so we can reach our goals together. Let’s have a fun AND productive Summer! On a side note, I must be feeling ambitious because this post ended up being quite lengthy but I saved some of the best things for last so please read through to the end.
I’ve reached 500 likes on Facebook! Let’s celebrate with a 500 Likes Flash Giveaway!
Welcome to the Wrapsody Breeze Woven Wrap Giveaway! Babywearing takes on many shapes and forms, and using woven wraps is one of the most versatile ways to wear your baby. Unlike soft-structured carriers, woven wraps can be worn in an unlimited number of ways. Check out Wrapping Rachel if you need help learning new carries. Woven wraps do come with a bit of a learning curve, but with practice you can adapt the wrap so that you and your baby are comfortable. Most wraps are able to support baby from birth to toddler, so they make a great investment on your time in babywearing.

A week and a half ago, we packed up the car with my new Canon Rebel, my favorite glass water bottle, and some sunscreen to head down to the St. Marks Lighthouse for a sea turtle release. The release was scheduled for June 3rd at 3pm, which happens to be the most brutal part of the day here in sunny Florida. Needless to say, it was important for us to be prepared for the intense sun and excruciating heat during this exciting event.
